The current season of Saturday Night Live came to a close last night with an all-star list of musical guests. Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, who appeared as the host and the evening’s musical guest, performed in three formats throughout the show in addition to joining in on several comedic sketches.

Jagger first appeared alongside Arcade Fire and The Strokes’ Nikolai Fraiture for a take on the classic Stones tune “The Last Time.” Arcade Fire has covered the song in the past and members of the band recently covered it at New York City’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival. Next, Jagger returned to the stage alongside Foo Fighters for two more Stones’ songs, “19th Nervous Breakdown” and “It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll (But I Like It).” Finally, Jagger teamed up with Jeff Beck on the new blues tune “Tea Party” he had written about the upcoming U.S. presidential election (members of Arcade Fire also played “She’s a Rainbow” and “Ruby Tuesday” with Jagger in a comedy sketch). In addition, after SNL wrapped, Jagger sat in with David Grohl’s rock cover band Chevy Metal for “Miss You” and “Bitch” at the show’s official after part.
