Beech Mountain, NC will host the The Festival of Gnarnia from August 9-22. With an emphasis on electronic and improvisational music and Burning Man-inspired counter culture, the music and performance art fest will feature the likes of Beats Antique, 7 Walkers, Tipper, Emancipator, Conspirator, 12th Planet, Ott and Papadosio. Other acts slated to appear include: Gramatik, Paper Diamond, ESKMO, Easy Star All Stars, Toubab Krewe, VibeSquaD, Break Science, Gift of Gab, ZOOGMA, Starkey, DrFameus, Cas Haley, Ott, Papadosio, Phadroid, Midnite, Rising Appalachia, Minnesota, DubConscious, Govinda, The Polish Ambassador, Zach Deputy, The Pimps of Joytime, The Mantras and Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, among others.

The festival’s mission statement explains, “We are creating a safe, environmentally sound, special event that caters to a sophisticated taste in the audio and visual arts in a unique space that provides exclusive platforms for creative human expression.”
