John Fogerty, American Idol

In an unexpected turn of events, John Fogerty made a surprise appearance on the American Idol season finale on Wednesday night. The Creedence Clearwater Revival founder joined American Idol winner Phillip Phillips on two of his classics, “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” and “Bad Moon Rising.”

Fogerty looks to have a big year ahead of him with the release of Wrote a Song for Everyone, which features a collection of classic hits as well as new songs performed alongside Foo Fighters, Brad Paisley, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Bob Seger, Miranda Lambert, My Morning Jacket and others. He will kick off his first ever Cross Canadian Revival Tour this fall.
