Living Colour’s principals performed with Galactic at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl last night. As previously reported, Living Colour singer Corey Glover is currently on tour with Galactic as a featured vocalist. Near the end of Galactic’s set, Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid and bassist Doug Wimbish joined Galactic onstage for the Booker T. & the M.G.‘s classic “Hip Hug-Her.” Glover—who had appeared earlier in the night—then returned to the stage to join his bandmates and members of Galactic for Living Colour’s “Love Rears it’s Ugly Head” and “Cult of Personality.”

Several additional acts sat in with Galactic during the night as well. Pedrito Martinez opened the show and performed with Galactic on “Cineramascope,” “Tuff Love” and
“Ain’t What You Think.” All three songs also featured announced guest and Sex Mob trumpeter Steven Bernstein. The trumpeter remained onstage for “Can I Be Your Main Squeeze,” “Hit the Wall,” “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Garbage Truck.” Galactic will return to Brooklyn Bowl this evening. The Dead Kenny G’s will open the night.
