Dangerbird Records will release Sea Wolf’s third album, Old World Romance, on September 11. The album was recorded in the California home studio of frontman Alex Brown Church, with mixing by Kennie Takahashi (Broken Bells, The Black Keys). “I just felt I needed to bring Sea Wolf back to me, to my world,” Church said about the recording process. The new album is similar to previous albums in some respects (the full-band arrangements, dark lyrics), but Old World Romance is more stripped down and simple than White Water, White Bloom. “This record is about a lot of things, but some of it is about coming home after being away and facing the realities of one’s life, and life in general. Things you may have run away from, and things you are ready to embrace. Reconnecting and growing up.”

Sea Wolf will preview the album with shows at Santa Ana, CA’s Constellation Room (7/12) and Los Angeles, CA’s Skirball Center (7/13).
