Paul Simon sat in with bluegrass dobro master Jerry Douglas at New York’s BB King Blues Club last night. The performance was part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival. Simon joined Douglas for the Simon & Garfunkel classic “The Boxer,” which Douglas recorded for his forthcoming album Traveler. Not only does the new studio version of “The Boxer” feature Simon himself, but the track also boasts one of Douglas’ most successful proteges, Mumford & Sons. Douglas became good friends with Simon and few years ago when he opened for the legendary singer/songwriter on tour.
