Former Talking Heads/Modern Lovers multi-instrumentalist Jerry Harrison sat in with The String Cheese Incident on Saturday night. The Bay Area resident joined String Cheese Incident at Berkeley, CA’s Greek Theatre on B3 organ at the end of their first set for the Talking Heads classic “Life During Wartime.” In a more unexpected move, Harrison returned near the start of String Cheese Incident’s second set to play organ on the new SCI trance original “Rosie.” Harrison joined String Cheese one final time later in their set on guitar and vocals for the Modern Lovers’ ’70s cut “She Cracked.” The String Cheese Incident have covered Talking Heads throughout their career and performed with the Talking Heads offshoot Tom Tom Club on October 31, 2001.

The String Cheese Incident’s summer tour continues at North Plains, OR’s Horning’s Hideout this Friday.
