Tortoise, Future Islands, Matmos, Liturgy Set for Thrill Jockey’s 20th Anniversay Event
New York-based label Thrill Jockey Records will celebrate their 20th anniversary with an all-star concert. New York’s Webster Hall will host the hometown show on September 15. A mix of Thrill Jockey Records acts will perform during the night, including Tortoise, Future Islands, Matmos, Liturgy, and D. Charles Speer & the Helix. Thrill Jockey will also reissue several classic albums as part of this year’s anniversary celebration.
For their 15th anniversary, the label compiled a unique box set where they asked artists on their roster to cover a song by any other Thrill Jockey act.
