The Allman Brothers Band will headline The Bluesmasters Concert on August 31. The late-summer show will take place at Lincoln NE’s Haymarket Park on August 31. Hosted by Mick Fleetwood, the single-day event will also feature The Bluesmasters with Eric Gales, Otis Taylor, Leon Russell and Elvin Bishop. The Allman Brothers Band has not performed in Nebraska since 2000.

In other news, The Allman Brothers Band kicked off their summer tour at Thornville, OH’s All Good Music Festival on Saturday. During their performance, the group welcomed Roosevelt Collier on steel guitar for “One Way Out.” From there, the band moved on to Darien Center, NY’s Darien Lake Performing Arts Center for the first night of their co-headlining tour with Santana. Though last night’s show did not include any sit ins, the veteran groups may collaborate when they perform at Wantagh, NY’s Jones Beach Amphitheatre tomorrow.
