Patterson Hood and the Downtown Rumblers have confirmed a fall tour. The Drive By-Truckers co-founder is touring in support of his third solo record, Heat Lightning Rumbles In The Distance. The album is slated for release on September 11 via ATO Records.

In addition to Hood, The Downtown Rumblers features DBT pianist Jay Gonzalez, DBT drummer Brad Morgan and Jacob Morris on cello. Athens, GA’s Hope For Agoldensummer will open the entire tour. Hood will play a solo show at Charleston, SC’s Pour House on August 3.
