To celebrate his accomplishments as a songwriter over four decades with legendary Southern rock mainstay Lynyrd Skynyrd, guitarist/songwriter Gary Rossington will be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall Of Fame at the 34th Annual Georgia Music Hall of Fame Awards, to be held in Atlanta on October 14. Rossington, who helped start the band as a teenager in Jacksonville, FL, is the only remaining original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd and helped write some of their most popular songs, including the ubiquitous “Sweet Home Alabama.” Other inductees include pop-country act Sugarland, Singer/Songwriter Riley Biederer and Skynyrd’s recent tour mates 38 Special. Tickets are still available for the event, which will also be televised live by Georgia Public Broadcasting.
