On Monday night, The Eddie Roberts Trio performed at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl. In addition to The New Mastersounds guitarist, the trio’s lineup included Mofro keyboardist Adam Scone and Lettuce/Break Science drummer Adam Deitch. Several additional guests sat in during the night, too. Partway through their set, the trio invited out Dap-Kings/Robert Walter saxophonist Cheme for “Peepin.” Cheme remained onstage as DJ Logic emerged for “Texas Twister.”

The collaborations continued from there. DJ Logic sat in on “Fast’in,” both Cheme and Logic appeared on “Message From The Meters” and Royal Family/Warren Haynes Band’s Alecia Chakour sang on “Good Thing.” Then, at the end of the night, Logic and Chakour collaborated with the trio on “Do Your Thing,” and Logic and Cheme helped the trio close the night with “Let The Music Take Your Mind.”

The New Mastersounds are currently working on a new studio album.
