Over the weekend, Sterling, NY’s Sterling Stage Kampitheater closed its summer season with the Last Daze of Summer event. The weekend-long celebration featured a number of notable acts, including The John Kadlecik Band, The Band’s Garth Hudson with Gent Treadly, Spiritual Rez, Aqueous, Tim Herron Corporation, Dark Hallow and many others.

During Gent Treadly’s set with Hudson, both Tim Herron (THC) and members of Dark Hollow sat in during The Band classics “Up on Cripple Creek,” “The Weight” and “Look Out Cleveland.” The collaborations continued during The John Kadlecik Band’s show: Hudson played accordion on “When I Paint My Masterpiece” and Gent Treadly’s Dave Berg played guitar for the majority of the group’s second set.

Berg and Kadlecik actually played together in an early incarnation of Dark Star Orchestra. Kadlecik currently plays guitar in Furthur.
