Furthur kicked off their fall tour with a show at the always beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO. The band started off the first set with a “Help On The Way > Slipknot” that continued into a “Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion).” The band ended a fairly tame set one with a cover of Ryan Adams’ “Let It Ride” before finishing off with “Mason’s Children”, a tune that left the Grateful Dead’s repertoire in 1970 but has been revived by Furthur and Phil Lesh and Friends. Fans were then treated to a rocking second set of non-stop music that began with a “Weather Report Suite” and ended with “Franklin’s Tower”. The band then rounded out the night with a “U.S. Blues” encore. The full setlist can be viewed below.
