Several guests sat in with Tedeschi Trucks Band’s show at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Friday night. The performance was the second of three shows at the historic New York venue, where Tedeschi Trucks Band plan to play each September.

The Wood Brothers opened the night, and guitarist Oliver Wood sat in on several songs during the night. First, Wood appeared on “Ball & Chain,” a number he wrote and recorded with Tedeschi Trucks Band for their album Revelator. He remained onstage for “300 Pounds Of Heavenly Joy” and “Have No Shame.” Later in the set, former Miles Davis saxophonist and regular Allman Brothers Band guest Bill Evans of Soulgrass emerged for “Garvey’s Ghost.” Evans later returned for during Tedeschi Trucks Band’s encore for “Nobody’s Free” and a Sly Stone medley.

Tedeschi Trucks Band will perform at Roanoke, VA’s Jefferson Center tomorrow.
