?uestlove, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip to DJ First Soul Planetarium At Capitol Theatre

?uestlove, Talib Kweli and Q-Tip will DJ the first ever “Soul Planetarium” night at the recently reopened Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY on September 28. The event will combine these DJs’ soulful beats with the Capitol Theatre’s state-of-the-art video projection system. To accompany each of the night’s three DJ sets, the theatre will transform the newly-refurbished rock palace’s walls and grand dome with stunning visuals from their ten HD cinema-quality projectors and content created by Marc Brickman (Pink Floyd, Roger Waters’ ‘The Wall’ Tour) and the NYC-based team of Batwin and Robin.

This show will replace a previously scheduled September 28 performance by The Roots and Talib Kweli. The Roots performed with special guests Bob Weir, Trey Anastasio, and Warren Haynes at the Capitol Theatre on September 7, and last week they closed out their 3-week residency with a performance featuring Maya Rudolph on guest vocals. Tickets for Soul Planetarium are $10.

I’m just curious about this event. Are ?uestlove, Talib Kweli, & Q-Tip actually performing and appearing at this show? Please let me know. Thank you.

No. Not performing just spinning 3 separate DJ sets. Expect ?uest & QTip to go head to head just crushing each other with their volumous vinyl collections and old school soul/funk/r&b mixes. Id kill to be at this party. never heard Kweli spin wreckords but i imagine his will be the most hip hop of the three, and QTips the best!
