Jon Fishman, Ryan Miller and Other Farmer Friends to Play the Rolling Stones

Phish drummer Jon Fishman, Guster frontman Ryan Miller, singer/songwriter Bob Wagner, Trey Anastasio Band keyboardist Ray Paczkowski and many other Vermont musicians will perform at the third Hug Your Farmer benefit concert. The all-star event is slated to take place at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground on October 11 and will celebrate the Rolling Stones’ 50th anniversary. All proceeds from the concert will go to The Vermont New Farmer Project, an initiative of UVM Extension which provides information, education and assistance to Vermont’s aspiring farmers.

Other acts confirmed to appear include: Joshua Panda, Clint Bierman, Peter Day, , Steve Hadeka, The Sweet Remains, Matt Hagen & Mike Clifford (Lendway) and assorted “special guests.” The last Hug Your Farmer event took place in May and celebrated the life of Levon Helm.
