Leftover Salmon returned to Athens, GA’s refurbished Georgia Theater last night for an extended two-set show. Del McCoury Band fiddler Jason Carter attended the show and sat in with Leftover Salmon for their entire performance. In addition, Camper Van Beethoven/Cracker mainstay David Lowery, who lives in the area and serves as a guest lecturer at the nearby University of Georgia, sat in on three songs. Lowery emerged partway through Leftover Salmon’s second set for his own “Get Off This,” “Low” and “Teen Angst.” The members of Leftover Salmon recorded reworked versions all three songs with Cracker for the bluegrass album O’ Cracker Where Art Thou?.

Leftover Salmon will perform at Asheville, NC’s The Orange Peel this evening.
