The String Cheese Incident’s Kyle Hollingsworth, Umphrey’s McGee’s Joel Cummins and The Lee Boys’ Roosevelt Collier have joined Jam Cruise 11’s lineup. All three acts will perform as special guests aboard the cruise. The three musicians have performed on Jam Cruise multiple times—Cummins has only missed two of the past 10 Jam Cruise voyages and Collier has performed as a surprise guest the past two years of the cruise.

In other news, Jam Cruise has confirmed that Hollingsworth, JJ Grey, Ivan Neville, ALO’s Zach Gill and Nigel Hall will all play bonus piano sets in the ship’s multi-level lobby during the cruise. Likewise, Mike Dillon, Karl Denson, Brian J, The Motet’s Joey Porter and ALO’s Dan Lebowitz will host the Jam Room in different evening’s during Jam Cruise. Other recent activity additions include a Door Decorating Contest judged by Zoogma, The Gong Show and Between the Beats Workshop with Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood. As Jam Cruise explains, “In the Between the Beats Workshop they will share their ideas and approaches to collaborative songwriting, developing technique, and how they continue to evolve musically. You’ll also hear stories from their long, dynamic careers – both together and apart. This will be a very special chance to hear them up close.”

Jam Cruise will sail from January 7-12.
