Yonder Mountain String Band will play their 1500th show on Saturday night. The performance will take place during the group’s multi-day Harvest Music Festival, and the evening will likely feature some surprises. Yonder played their first show in late 1998.

The Harvest Music Festival will take place in Ozark, AR from October 11-13. Leftover Salmon, Mickey Hart Band, North Mississippi Allstars, Sam Bush, Punch Brothers, Dumpstaphunk,
Wookiefoot, Split Lip Rayfield, Cornmeal, Everyone Orchestra,
Joe Purdy, Elephant Revival and Mishka are among the acts slated to appear.

Too bad their 1500th “show” was only 20 minutes long.

Yeah, torrential rains, lightning, and high winds DELAYED everything, but Yonder just plain packed up and left their own festival! Everyone else ended up playing later. Wookiefoot are the ones that said We goin’ on no matter what! God Bless ‘em, they RIPPED it up and made the weekend!
