Jon Fishman sat in with Marco Benevento and his trio at South Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground on Friday night. The Phish drummer emerged during Benevento’s set to play on “You Must Be A Lion” and Deerhoof’s “Twin Killers.” Benevento’s current bandmate, Ween’s Dave Dreiwitz, played bass on the tune.

Fishman and Benevento first collaborated when the drummer sat in with The Duo in 2006. A few years later, the two musicians shared the stage as member of The Everyone Orchestra, and Benevento took Fishman out as his drummer for a short tour in 2008. Both Fishman and Benevento will perform with The Everyone Orchestra at New York’s Sullivan Hall this Friday.
