Animal Collective will play two concerts at Terminal 5 in New York City on December 4 & 5. The shows will make up for the October 5 Brooklyn show that was postponed because the band’s vocalist, David “Avey Tare” Portner, came down with laryngitis. The band will be donating a portion of the proceeds from the show to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Fans who had purchased tickets to the October 5 show will have early access to pre-sale tickets for the new dates. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on November 9.

The Terminal 5 shows will be Animal Collective’s first in New York City since the the release of their tenth album, Centipede Hz.The band will also perform at Miami’s UR1 Festival on December 9. You can listen to Centipede Hz below.
