To commemorate Veteran’s Day, the U.S. Navy’s 7th Fleet Band has shared a tribute to Navy veteran and music legend Art Neville. The band’s Orient Express group performed a version of The Meters’ “Hey Pocky A-Way” in honor of the New Orleans icon.

Neville served two stints in the Navy, including one as a cook. His time of service totaled around six years.

“In 1958, Art joined the U.S. Navy serving as a Commissaryman, and spent part of his tour aboard the USS Independence,” read an informational slide included in the video. “Art returned to civilian life in New Orleans in 1962.”

“In honor of Veteran’s Day we would like to pay tribute to the life and service of Art Neville, a U.S. Navy veteran and an accomplished musician,” wrote the 7th Fleet Band in their post sharing the video.
