The Rolling Stones Join 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy Benefit Lineup

The Rolling Stones have joined the lineup for the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit show at New York’s Madison Square Garden. They join a stacked lineup that includes Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Kanye West, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, The Who, Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton and Coldplay’s Chris Martin. The Stones are in the area for performances of their own in Brooklyn, NY and Newark, NJ. All proceeds will benefit the Robin Hood foundation. Clapton recently sat in with the Stones in London as part of their 50th anniversary celebration.

It’s funny… growing up in the 70s/80s all you ever heard about R&R was that it was the devil’s music… these guys and girls do more to help out than just about any segment of society that I can think of… meanwhile religious wars, hate, discrimination and abuse wage on… and let’s not forget the incredible musicians God gets to see live every Saturday night!
