Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Announces 2013 Dates

The free Bay Area festival Hardly Strictly Bluegrass has confirmed its 2013 dates. The festival will return to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park from October 4-6. Last year’s festival was the first since the event’s billionaire founder and bluegrass enthusiast Warren Hellman passed way. The festival’s lineup will be confirmed in the coming months.

this is the best event ever and it is a great tribute to Warren Hellman. He was a great man and this contribution is greatly appreciated as are his many gifts to the people of San Francisco. It is a must attend event and I have missed very few of these concerts over the years.

A few years ago I gave Warren a thank you birdhouse. In return he gave me a hug. I have that photo on my desk. He was a very kind man who brought happiness to thousands. I miss him. Brian Iles

i was in AA Michigan where Warren took me to the side and sang a song about Bernie Madoff that he wrote.
Warren then insisted that I come back to hardly strictly, which I gladly did. db cooper
