Terrapin Crossroads to Stream God Street Wine and Phil Lesh Shows This Weekend

Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads will webcast all of its shows through Sunday night. The webcasts include Lesh’s upcoming Rambles (1/24-26), God Street Wine’s support sets for those Rambles (1/24-26) and Lesh’s Hoedown (1/27). Webcast passes will be $7 per evening.

In addition to their own opening set, the members of God Street Wine will perform with Lesh, Furthur guitarist John Kadlecik and Furthur keyboardist Jeff Chimenti during this week’s Rambles. Multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, who performed with God Street Wine during their final years, will sit in with the reunited band during all three of their shows.

Goodness, isn’t it enough he charges $60 for a single “Ramblers” set and $150 for two Phil & Friends sets? Plus he knows most folks will spring for the overpriced food and watered down drinks. Shameful!

I was so pleased when www.terrapinlanding.com first reported this yesterday via Twitter! Got my passes for all four shows! Can’t wait.

I can understand what Daddy is saying. It does reek a little of of the Rich Boys and Girls Club. I do realize we have long since moved past the “let’s keep ticket prices down” attitude of years past. This does not excuse these guys from gouging their dedicated fanbase though. I’ve attended a couple of of these Rambles and quite honestly it felt like I was paying to sit in on a practice session. Sixty bucks is a lot for one set when most of these Ramble lineups are so-so talent wise, especially when his boys are with him. I’ll happily pay that kind of money for a Trey Band show of 2 sets or something similar but this Ramble thing is way overpriced. Should be more in line with a $10 Cover Charge .
