Trey Anastasio joined Hands On A Hardbody writer Doug Wright and lyricist/co-composer Amanda Green on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning to talk about the new musical, which officially opens this evening. Toward the end of the interview, Anastasio lets out the news that Phish will be heading to the studio tomorrow to begin work on their next album (while it seems unlikely that the band would start work on a new studio at the same time Page McConnell begins his tour with The Meter Men, Anastasio comments suggest that the group will head into the studio soon). You can watch the full interview over at Relix.com.

Hands On A Hardbody opens at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre tonight. Tickets to the musical can be purchased here.
