Lou Reed Cancels West Coast Dates

Lou Reed has cancelled five upcoming West Coast shows scheduled for April, including his two performances at Coachella. The other nixed dates include April 14 at the Warfield in San Francisco, April 16 at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey, CA and April 17 at the Orpheum in Los Angeles. The former Velvet Underground frontman has not yet provided any reasons for the cancellations. As of now, no information on potential refunds or rescheduled gigs have been made available.

No one bought tix to the Warfield so I assume that is why they canceled in SF.

Not true, Page. I looked for tickets this morning before the event was cancelled and the best tickets available were near the back of the balcony.

Yeah Page ….I bought two tickets and it was nearly sold out …I didn’t love my seats but was going anyways … I’m bummed !

We had pretty good seats for the Orpheum show. We are very disappointed. It would be interesing to know why the shows were cancelled. We just hope Lou is OK In the meantime we’ll just continue listening to his amazing and unique music. Hopefully some of these shows will be rescheduled.
