John Bell hosted his annual Hannah’s Buddies Benefit at the House of Blues in Orlando, FL this past Saturday night. The Widespread Panic guitarist was joined by his roadie Joel Byron and WSP manager Buck Williams during his solo set. Byron made his appearance on acoustic slide for “Tall Boy,” “Blue Indian” and “Ain’t Life Grand,” before Williams joined them on harmonica for a take on Van Morrison’s “Mystic Eyes.” In addition, Bell sat in with one of the night’s openers, Futurebirds, on cover of Neil Young’s “Unknown Legend.”

Hannah’s Buddies is part of FightSMA, an international non-profit organization focused on raising funds for research in the fight against spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
