RAQ kicked off a multi-day reunion run at Boston, MA’s Paradise Rock Club last night. As previously reported, drummer Adrian Tramontano—who plays with RAQ’s Todd Stoops in Kung Fu—filled in for longtime RAQ drummer Greg Stukey throughout the night.
RAQ opened with “Welcome to the Donkey Show,” off their first album, and charged through classic RAQ songs like “Will Run,” “Tumblin’ Down,” “Forget Me Not” and “Bootch Magoo,” among others. They also offered their covers of Ween’s “Push The Little Daisies” and The Allman Brothers Band’s “Whipping Post” (though the latter song owes more to Frank Zappa’s arrangement of the song).

RAQ’s tour will continue at New York’s Gramercy Theatre this evening.
