American Babies—the Americana group led by Brothers Past/Electron guitarist Tom Hamilton—has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help finish their third studio album. The group has spent the past three months working on the album and are currently hoping to raise $12,500 to finish the album. Money raised will also help with the album’s publicity, radio promotion and design.

“At the moment, I am about 3/4 finished making a new album, and it’s a beast,” Hamilton said in a statement. “It’s the most complete picture of who I am as an artist that I’ve managed to make to date. A cross between BP’s moody, psychedelic, beats ‘n synths production mixed with The Babies’ rolling and raw songwriting. This record is angry, scared, and out for blood.”

Fans who pledge money will receive such varied incentives as a digital download, handwritten lyrics, a private American Babies concert, a chance to attend a Philadelphia Flyers game with Hamilton, a ‘special thanks’ in the album’s liner notes, a five-hour recording session with founding American Babies drummer Joe Russo and an invitation to attend private American Babies listening party. Perhaps the Kickstarter campaigns’ most unique offering is a personal phone call from Hamilton to a friend or enemy of your choice. He has even promises to pose as Christopher Walken if you’d like.

American Babies will perform at Harrisburg, PA’s Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Co on May 15.
