This Equifunk Festival has added some more acts to their Sunday Series. The event, which takes place in Pennsylvania’s Poconos, will feature a slew of acts on its closing day, August 18. The recently announced Sunday Series will feature a performance by a supergroup consisting of guitarist Eddie Roberts and bassist Pete Shand (New Mastersounds), as well as Stanton Moore (Galactic) on drums, Nigel Hall on keyboards, and James Casey (Trey Anastasio Band) on saxophone. Equifunk is currently looking for a name for the supergroup and is taking fan suggestions via their Facebook page. Other acts that have been added to Sunday’s bill include: The London Souls, The Heavy Pets, The Main Squeeze, and M&M (a supergroup comprised of Moore, Marco Benevento, Robert Mercurio, Papa Mali and Maceo Parker).

The Equifunk Festival takes place on August 16-18 at Camp Equinunk and Blue Ridge in Pennsylvania’s Poconos. As previously reported, Jon Fishman’s Pork Tornado and The Revivalists are also on the increasingly stellar Sunday Series lineup.
