Perpetual Groove will release their final pre-hiatus show. The gig took place at Athens, GA’s Georgia Theatre on April 5.

A note from the band explains:

On April 5th, 2013, Perpetual Groove took the stage of the Georgia Theatre for their final show before their indefinite hiatus. The bittersweet emotions in the venue were palpable as fans, friends and family gathered to watch the last scheduled show of this legendary band. Perpetual Groove are heroes in the Georgia Theatre. They have played 68 shows in this venue totaling 200 hours of music and 55,000 tickets sold. An astonishing 44 of those performances were sell out shows. Watch the band play fan favorites such as “Teakwood Betz”, “Three Weeks” and “Two Shores”. Guest saxophonist Gary Paulo joined the band in the first set for a beautiful version of “Walking In Place”, and the encore contained an amazing cover of the LCD Soundsystem track “All My Friends”. If you were not able to capture the emotion of the night, then now is your chance. TourGigs and Perpetual Groove proudly present “The Last Groove”.

The show is available here. Perpetual Groove guitarist Brock Butler is focusing on solo, acoustic music while the rest of the band tours as Ghost Owl.
