Steve Molitz Scores R.I.P.D.: The Game

Particle keyboardist Steve Molitz recently wrote and recorded several pieces of music for the new third person shooter video game, R.I.P.D.: The Game. Based on Universal’s action-adventure film—which stars Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon and Mary Louise Parker—the “game gives players the chance to team up with friends in co-op mode to hunt and kill hordes of evil Deados (undead bad guys).”

Molitz provided music for the Main Theme/Menu, all In-Game Cinematics and the Boss Battle (against Kevin Bacon). The game was released by Universal/Atlus/Old School Games earlier this week in anticipation of the film’s opening this evening. The downloadable game is available for only $10 on XBLA, PSN and Steam.

Molitz will perform with Particle at Bartow, WV’s Camp Barefoot on August 24. The group will also appear at Hancock, NY’s Catskill Chill on September 6.
