Neutral Milk Hotel have announced an extensive winter tour through North America. The band will kick things off on January 16, 2014 with a two-night run in Boston before heading to Canada and then New York City, where they will play six shows in the metro area. The group will then make their way through Mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Texas before closing out the tour in their home-state of Louisiana at New Orleans’ Civic Theatre.

The band has also revealed that they will be playing at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona this summer, as well as the Optimus Primavera Sound festival in Porto, Portugal.

Tickets to the North American tour dates will go on sale this Friday, August 2 at 12pm local time.

As previously reported, Neutral Milk Hotel have already confirmed a shorter run of shows through the South and Midwest for this fall, as well as some international dates for later in the year.
