The National’s string of eclectic collaborations will continue this fall. According to an interview in Elle Magazine picked up by Paste, the Brooklyn, NY indie group will appear on an episode of the FOX TV series The Mindy Project this fall.

The article reads:

The second season will be nothing short of star-studded. An eclectic group of names are being brought in as guest stars, such as Chloe Sevigny, Kris Humphries, Bill Hader and James Franco.

Ike Barinholtz, who plays Morgan Tookers on The Mindy Project, told Elle Magazine the details on who James Franco will be on the show, describing his character as the “anti-Mindy”. Franco will play a new co-worker to Mindy, who invades her work life after her return home from Haiti.

Additionally, there will be a music festival-themed episode of the show this season, with The National making a guest appearance.

As previously reported, The National’s fall plans also include working on a Grateful Dead tribute album.

The Mind Project‘s second season will premiere on September 17.
