Mike Doughty has confirmed the dates for his All-Soul-Coughing-Songs Tour. This fall tour will mark the end of a period when Doughty chose not to play any Soul Coughing songs onstage. The former band member will perform songs from his latest album, Circles Super Bon Bon… which features re-invented Soul Coughing songs.

The tour will kick off on October 16 at Teaneck, NJ’s Mexicali Live and continue throughout the Midwest before hitting the West Coast including a stop at San Francisco’s Fillmore Theater on November 6. They will play at New Orleans’ Tipitina’s on November 15 before finishing up the tour on November 23 with a show at New York’s Webster Hall. While on tour, Doughty will have a new backing band and will be accompanied by accompanied by bassist Catherine Popper and drummer Pete Wilhoit.

Circles Super Bon Bon… will be released on September 17 by Snack Bar (Doughty’s own label) and Megaforce Records and the re-invented version of “The Idiot Kings” is available for listen here. For a full list of tour dates see below.
