STS9 bassist David Murphy and percussionist Jeffree Lerner sat in with Umphrey’s McGee for a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Breathe” last night during their co-headlining gig at Riverfront Park in Nashville. Murphy took the place of Umphrey’s bassist Ryan Stasik for the song, which came toward the end of the band’s set. The show also included the third-ever performance of “Cut The Cable,” with the tune sandwiched between “Intentions Clear” and “Hajimemashite.”

Murphy is no stranger to the music of Pink Floyd, as the bassist has played with cover band Pigs On The Wing on numerous occasions.
