STS9 Debut Blondie Cover with Members of Umphrey’s McGee

STS9 got some help from Umphrey’s McGee during their co-headlining show last night for their first-ever cover of Blondie’s classic “Heart of Glass.” Brendan Bayliss, Jake Cinninger and Ryan Stasik joined the band for the tune during middle of their set at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, GA.

Kenny Barto of hip-hop production trio the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League also sat in with STS9 for a take on “Vapors” that segued into a set closing “Rent.” The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, who have produced tracks for Drake, Rick Ross, 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, Mary J. Blidge and many more, worked with STS9 on their forthcoming (though currently untitled) studio album.

We hit our last shows until Denver New Years. Issac and I drove from Michigan. It was a fun drive and STS9 played their little hearts out. UM is not a great opening act. The shows they open are noticeably worse than when they close. We have seen five shows this tour. Ryboy and Myers were not in time the whole show. Issac thought it was the lack of people there and cavernous empty sections like the lawn. I just think they cant open well or really could care less this hear as things have become challenging for the band.. All in Time was great. Life During Exodus highlights BBs and JCs writing issues by taking to covers and making them your own so it depresses me. People on here shouldnt be betting about Kris and his hair job. It is fake…He told me when we drove in to see his jazz band in Chicago and I ran my hands through it multiple times. It looks great for hairclub for men type work. See you boys in Menver!!

Stellar sets by both bands! Great crowd in Alpharetta, nice to see the whole place open and pretty well full
