Christine McVie performed with Fleetwood Mac for the first time since 1998 last night at the O2 Arena in London. The singer, keyboardist and songwriter—who was a member of the popular rock band for almost 30 years—took the stage for “Don’t Stop,” a song that she wrote back in 1976.

McVie announced her retirement from music in 1998 after Fleetwood Mac was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Members of the band shot down the idea of a reunion as recently as last year, with Stevie Nicks telling Rolling Stone, “I would say there’s no more chance of that happening than an asteroid hitting the Earth.” However, last week Nicks confirmed that McVie would be joining the band for a couple of stops during their European tour, though many were still surprised to see her last night.
