DJ Equal is stepping out from behind the turntables to release his first original production. The song—“Lost in the Evening”—was conceived on the road and recorded in North Carolina.

Folk singer-songwriter Gary Jules sings on the track, which also features DJ Equal’s brother, Toubab Krewe’s Drew Heller, on guitar and his Grammy Award-winning father Steven Heller on bass. The tune was also mixed by occasional Toubab Krewe drummer Vic Stafford.
