Umphrey’s McGee to Bring Back Headphones & Snowcones for Halloween Run

Umphrey’s McGee are bringing their innovative “Headphones & Snowcones” system to their upcoming shows in Kalamazoo and Milwaukee. Fans that purchase the experience will be able to listen to a pristine soundboard mix of the band’s performance via a pair high fidelity Audio-Technica headphones.

“Headphones & Snowcones” will be deployed with limited availability at the October 30 gig at The State Theatre in Kalamazoo, MI, as well as the October 31-November 2 Halloween run at the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee. The experience costs $40 and will be limited to 20 fans per show. It also includes a UMLive down of the night’s sets.

When you cannot sell out your Halloween show you add the headphones to try and pick up change. I hear people saw crew members checking pay phones and out in front of Higher ground for any change left behind. Milwookie can be more dangerous so I bet they can keep people more safe if they do the head phone gimmick. Vance is the Bill Graham of stagnant shrinking mid level jambands.
