The Revivalists will play material from the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik during their Halloween show at New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf. The Peppers released the Rick Rubin produced album as their fifth studio offering.

Sex Magik still ranks as one of the most influential albums of the 90’s and remains one of the Chili Peppers’ most popular records. Guitarist John Frusciante actually quit the band due to his inability to cope with the album’s popularity. He later rejoined in 1998 only to recently leave the band in December 2009.
