YouTube is about to launch a subscription music streaming service. The platform will be similar to Spotify, but with video in the mix as well.

The new service will be tiered, with both free and premium options. Billboard is reporting that the free service will likely feature unlimited, on-demand access for various devices—including mobile—along with ads. The premium component will most like allow users to access content offline, while also removing ads.

The launch date for the service has not yet been revealed, but it appears that it will be available by the end of the year.
