Arcade Fire’s Reflektor debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, Billboard is reporting. The highly-anticipated album moved 140,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Reflektor ranks as the band’s second album to top the chart, as 2010’s The Suburbs sold 156,000 copies in its first week.

Arcade Fire’s first album with major distribution (Universal Music Group) unseated Katy Perry’s “PRISM,” which topped the charts last week. The band will continue with their pop-up shows billed as “The Reflektors” with stops in Europe throughout the rest of the year.
