A public memorial for Lou Reed, who passed away October 27, will take place today at Lincoln Center in New York City. The Velvet Underground band leader will be honored at The Paul Milstein Pool & Terrace from 1-4 P.M.

Following Lou Reed’s death, many artists paid tribute to the fallen idol. Phish opened their next show with “Rock and Roll” and Pearl Jam, The Black Crowes and more paid tribute as well in concert.
