In a new interview with the Guardian, Fleetwood Mac keyboardist Christine McVie expressed her desire to rejoin the band on a permanent basis. “I like being with the band, the whole idea of playing music with them,” McVie said. “I miss them all. If they were to ask me I would probably be very delighted…but it hasn’t happened so we’ll have to wait and see.”

In September, McVie joined Fleetwood Mac on stage in London for the first time in nearly fifteen years. The keyboardist was a cornerstone of the popular group for nearly thirty years and received writing credits on hits such as “Over My Head,” “Say You Love Me” and more. McVie left the group following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

Fleetwood Mac is currently on hiatus as bassist (and Christine’s ex-husband) John McVie undergoes treatment for cancer.
