Ryan Montbleau Band will play their final shows with the current lineup on December 6 and 7 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. As previously reported, Guitarist Lyle Brewer and keyboardist Jason Cohen will split from the band following these shows. In light of the event, Montbleau announced the group will stream the shows live on the band’s website.

The group, which released their debut album One Fine Color in 2006, has been a staple on the touring circuit for several years since, playing upwards of 200 shows per year.

Montbleau took to his Facebook page for a final announcement prior to the shows:

This is the end of an era for Ryan Montbleau Band. Next week in Boston on December 6th and 7th, we will be playing the final shows with this lineup and celebrating 10 solid years on the road. For those of you who cannot attend, the shows will be streamed live at http://RMBLive.com.

This is not the end of my music; it’s not the end of me playing with a band; it’s not the end of me and the remaining guys playing music together in some way, shape, or form again. But it is the end of this particular and special group of guys: Jason, James, Lyle, Matty, Yahuba and myself (and of course Laurence for years) all touring constantly together and playing as a set unit night after night.

With every end comes a new beginning and there is no telling what the future will bring. But this marks the end of a special period in our lives. On behalf of the guys, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us all these years. Let’s close out this RMB decade with a bang…

Much love,

Ryan
