BBC Four has announced that they will air a new documentary, Lou Reed Remembered, in memory of the recently deceased rock icon. Reed’s former Velvet Underground bandmates Doug Yule and Moe Tucker will make appearances in the film, along with musicians Thurston Moore, Boy George, Debbie Harry, and guitarist Steve Hunter. Additionally, the documentary will feature photographer Mick Rock and actress Holly Woodlawn ( Walk on the Wild Side ).

BBC has stated that “the documentary looks at how Reed not only helped to shape a generation but also helped to create a truly alternative, independent rock scene, while also providing New York with its most provocative and potent soundtrack.”
