Lockn’ Festival Announces Two Nights of The String Cheese Incident

The Lockn’ Festival has announced that the String Cheese Incident will return to this year’s event for two nights. The second annual edition of festival—which is set to take place September 4-7 at the Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, VA—has also confirmed appearances by The Allman Brothers Band, Widespread Panic (two nights), Phil Lesh & Friends (two nights) and a reunited Bob Weir & RatDog (two nights).

The String Cheese Incident were present at last year’s inaugural Lockn’ Festival. The band played four sets at the event, including a special, cover-filled Zac Brown Incident set featuring Zac Brown and other members of the Zac Brown Band. The festival also featured performances by Furthur (three nights), Widespread Panic (two nights), The Black Crowes (two nights), Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Trey Anastasio Band, Punch Brothers, Warren Haynes Band, Jimmy Cliff, Keller and The Keels and more. The event also featured a number of interesting collaborations in addition to the Zac Brown Incident, including John Fogerty with Widespread Panic and an extended Trey Anastasio sit in with Furthur, among other exciting combinations.

General admission, VIP and Student tickets for the 2014 Lockn’ Festival are currently on sale.

wonder when they are going to start having huge blowouts like this on the west coast….. the only better thing about east coast festies is you have a better chance of bumping into some toothless west v.a. appalachian troll that will sell you some mason jars full of moonshine they distilled in a possum den behind their chicken coop which is really just a half buried ice cream truck…... other than that, i can’t really see the plus’s… oh yeah: humans and money too…

Wow. Really? We simply going to have every band that was there last year AGAIN? Lame.

Hmmm.... January 17, 2014, 15:19:11

At least that toothless possum breader is sellin’ straight up lightning in a jar that will help you to forget you have to listen to 2 nites of rehashed Dead/Phish beats as played by SCI... where do I find the toothless guy?

I agree rhino. Kinda disappointed on these “big announcements.” It’s almost exactly like last yr. I love all these people but would have liked someone unexpected. Like bring Neil back since he couldn’t deliver last year.

You could be discouraged that the line-up is very similar to last year… OR you could be happy b/c by all accounts, last year was awesome! Oh, and you could also be pumped about potentially the last ABB show ever…

Holy crap! If this year’s show even comes close to last year’s it will be awesome. So friggin happy with every announcement so far…the addition of ABB is sweetness!

They still have to announce something big. No 20,000 plus headliner so far, other than maybe the Bros. If these guys want to make money they will need to hit 30,000 to make money. Phish for 2 or 3 nights. It is coming.

Who gives a rat’s ass if they were all there last year? How often are you going to see all these bands at the same festival? People are so spoiled. I didn’t go last year, so it’ll all be a new experience for me. I’m sure many other people feel the same way. I’d say it’s already an awesome lineup worth flying to and they aren’t done yet. Phish would be epic, but Dick’s will be the weekend before and that’s usually the summer tour closer. But, Trey was there last year so never say never.

Not worth it without Furthur!
